Best U.S. Military Spouse Blog Nominations

Place your nomination for Best U.S. Military Spouse Blog in the comments section below.

IMPORTANT:

Please read before entering your nomination.

  • only one nomination per blog is necessary per category.  Duplicate nominations may be deleted.
  • each nomination must include a web address and title.
  • nominations must be relevant to their respective category.
  • A link to the author’s bio demonstrating eligibility in their respective category is highly recommended.  If category eligibility cannot be confirmed, the blog may not considered.
  • spam and unrelated comments may be deleted.
  • a minimum of five different blogs must be nominated, in order for that category to go onto to the Voting phase.  This rule may be changed due to the lower number of blogs in some categories.
  • please make sure the comment you left appears in the comments. Don’t assume.

All nominees will be considered, so please do your best to read through the list of nominees to ensure you are not nominating the same blog.

Tip: For suggestions on relevant blogs, refer to the U.S. Military Spouse Blog Category on Milblogging.com.  While Milblogging.com does list military blogs in this category, it is not an exhaustive list.

I wasn't sure if it was proper to nominate my own blog, but I figure if I were to make it as a top blog, it would be because others were voting for me, not me voting for myself. So here is the link to my blog "TheArmyWifeDUDE". It's a look at the life I am still adjusting to as the very rare and elusive Military MANspouse. My wife has been in the Army for 24 months and been absent from our home for 19 of them. And this is my journey, struggles and triumphs and all.

  63. Great nomination! Ann Marie's efforts via her blog, Facebook and Twitter have served to inform a vast audience as to the ways of life for a military spouse and mother stationed overseas and enduring the deployment of her husband to Afghanistan. Her regular updates (from her husband's first letter home, to the family birthday shout out-that ran on HLN, to the tear-jerking story of her husband's all too short R&R leave and even live tweeting the homecoming ceremony) have provided an ever expanding audience with an intimate glimpse into the life and times of a hero like her, her family and every other family that has sacrificed so much during the last decade. A vote for her blog is a vote for all the mothers, fathers, wives, husbands, brother, sisters and children whose lives have been altered so they could act as the back bone of our military, the strength of our nation.

Wife (Widow) of a Wounded Marine by Karie
    http://www.widowofawoundedmarine.com/2012/02/walk

I'm surprised this hasn't been nominated yet. This is a beautifully written blog that can easily be read like a book. She pours her heart out. She has been a caregiver for her husband and is now a widow. She's very honest and heartfelt, yet she does not carry a woe is me attitude. She is very likable and is easy to read. I've enjoyed reading her for years now and highly recommend her blog to anyone, especially in the military.
