Best U.S. Marine Corps Blog Nominations (Closed)

Nominations are closed.

Place your nomination for Best U.S. Marine Corps Blog in the comments section below.

IMPORTANT: Only one nomination is necessary per blog and you are allowed to nominate your own blog. Repetitive nominations or comments for the same blog will not help in consideration as a finalist.

All nominees will be considered, so please do your best to read through the list of nominees to ensure you are not nominating the same blog.

Please make sure to leave the web address and title of the blog.

Your nomination must be relevant to this category, otherwise it will not be considered.

Tip: For suggestions on relevant blogs, refer to the U.S. Marine Corps Blog Category on Milblogging.com.  While Milblogging.com does list military blogs in this category, it is not an exhaustive list.

For additional information on rules, FAQs and deadlines, please check out the Rules & FAQs page.

    USMC81: http://usmc81.blogspot.com/
Whether you're interested in Marine history or Marine Quotes, this Marine will keep you motivated.

    Future Jarheads: http://futurejarheads.org/
If you want the down and dirty, no BS answers to what a future in the Corps will be, this is where you can find it. There's no sugar coating here and an introduction to some salty language. He's not trying to convince you to join, but to decide if you have what it takes to survive an enlistment or 20 yrs.

    • Johnny Mac says:

Yes- Wally at USMC81 brings all things Corps to one spot!

    • Thanks folks. Being listed on MilBlogging.com since 12-Jan-2008, I have thoroughly enjoyed bring the best USMC articles, stories, and tidbits to my brothers & sisters, MIL families, and Others. Drive On! ~Cpl. Beddoe

    Overcoming Adversity: http://waronterrornews.typepad.com/overcoming_adv
Inspired by MGySgt Jon White: http://waronterrornews.typepad.com/overcoming_adv
    Going Farther: http://www.active.com/donate/SFFCOMMATHL2011/JonP
He won't brag about his exploits, but Jon runs marathons to raise money for other Wounded Warriors. He's a man of deeds, not words. His story is left to us to tell and he allows that only because the mission is that important. But a man that runs 26.2 miles multiple times a year, while deploying, training in deserts and mountains of the world, and after being condemned to a wheelchair should inspire all.

It's the zombie stuff that puts it over the edge. Castra Praetoria.

See "Glory, Guts and Glitter" (www.glorygutsandglitter.com).

Be sure to check out July 2010's "Superhero" post. And December 2010's "Customs and Courtesies …"

  13. Indeed, Taco is correct. I appreciate being nominated but having received this award last year I urge folks to nominate some new, and perhaps not so well known Marine blogs out there.
